About us
AJ Landscape Construction has been creating outdoor spaces and areas since 2021. We are a small business and pride ourselves on transforming unused areas into aesthetic and practical spaces for you to enjoy.
We work throughout Geelong, Bellarine, and Surf Coast areas, with our small but mighty team of construction workers, from apprentices to qualified carpenters.
The foundation of our business is built by our work ethic and enjoying what we do. We are committed to providing high-quality workmanship with a smile and professionalism.
AJ Landscape Construction was founded by Alex Bowd. Originally from South Australia, Alex moved to the Geelong Region in 2014. Landscaping has been a big part of his working life, completing his apprenticeship in 2019. If Alex is onsite, then so is the site supervisor Lenny the Kelpie (who also has high attention to detail, quality craftsmanship and eye for design!).
Our projects range from small front yard makeovers to large outdoor entertainment areas.
Our Team
Alex Bowd
Alex is the heart and soul behind the AJ operation, from sourcing new projects, material planning and logistics, through to shouting the powerades on a hot day.
Alex has a great passion for landscaping and can walk into any space and see the vision. He thrives on building relationships with clients to get them the best outcomes.
ALEX CARROLL
Alex was with AJ in the early days and after a trip overseas has made his way back. Big Al is a qualified landscaper who has a great work ethic and is always an easy target to go get smoko with down the road.
DAMON HARTLEY
Damon has been in the Geelong area for about 5 years and is a qualified landscaper. Damo has been with us for just over 6 months and has made a big impact. His experience has been a great addition to completing our projects on time and at great standard.
Fred ROYal
Fred has been with us for the past 4 years and is just about to complete his apprenticeship. Over the past years he has grown leaps and bounds as a landscaper, Fred has a good eye for detail and even better time management with never being late to work.
MARCUS WILKINSON
Marcus is a hop on hop off employee who runs his own business outside of working with us. Marcus is always great when we get the chance to have him with plenty of knowledge in the landscaping industry. Known for some very below par jokes but we wouldn’t have him any other way.
Lenny
The big boss, Lenny has just turned 8 years old and is a main stay of our crew. From stealing toasties and constantly finding things to throw for him. You’ll find him somewhere between sleeping in the sun and digging holes for plants.
